Forget sunsets, I'll take slugs.

When most people cite examples of God's creativity in nature they choose sunsets and waterfalls and frolicking dolphins. Me? I'm going with slugs. This is a page of slugs from the current issue of National Geographic. I think it's such a funny reflection of God's sense of humor that slugs are so beautiful. As we ooh and ahh over waterfalls, He must giggle knowing the fireworks He has disguised as slugs. (Please, let's not argue about evolution or dinosaurs on the ark or the age of the bubbling magma in the core of the earth. Let's just enjoy some slugs.)

I love to see the colors God uses. I am an artist and there are times when I look at what God has done and I say purple and orange God? Really? Okay I guess you're God you can mix whatever crazy colors you want. Just look at those slugs, marvelous job God, great use of color and form. I would not have done anything like it, but you go God!

I did a double take at the title entry: "Forget sunsets, I'll take slugs". At first glance, I thought the pictures were from a sushi menu. Which, of course, brought back a lot of childhood memories.....Ahhh, good times!

I'm no expert, but these slugs remind me of sushi.

Have you ever seen a leafy seadragon? Those, I daresay, may be even better.
